KOLOA, Hawaii – At Orthopedics Today Hawaii 2018, Matthew T. Provencher, MD, said orthopedic surgeons have stayed ahead of the issue of concussions in sports with education, better diagnostics and improvements in preparticipation examinations.
“The bottom line is though, we have to do better at identifying [concussions] and taking the player away from the game if we suspect a concussion at all,” he said.
