KOLOA, Hawaii – At Orthopedics Today Hawaii 2018, William M. Ricci, MD, shared his “pearls” for the treatment of intertrochanteric fractures.
“One of the first things to consider is the fracture morphology. For simple two-part fractures, they are historically considered stable and amenable to either plate dynamic hip screw fixation or nail fixation,” he said.
