DALLAS — At the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons Annual Meeting, Matthew P. Abdel, MD, spoke about a study that evaluated outcomes following extensor mechanism reconstruction with synthetic mesh in 77 total knee arthroplasties. He said that at the midterm follow-up, extensor mechanism reconstruction was a reliable and durable procedure in patients with catastrophic disruptions.
