Wright Medical Group N.V. announced it will feature three new additions to its foot and ankle portfolio at the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society Annual Meeting. These offerings include the Invision total ankle revision system, the Ortholoc 3Di ankle fracture low-profile system and the Mica minimally invasive foot and ankle system.
Reportedly the first and only system developed specifically for total ankle revision arthroplasty, the Invision total ankle revision system helps surgeons rebuild bone lost through previous surgeries and provides modularity to help restore natural joint height.
A press release from the company also noted the Ortholoc 3Di ankle fracture low-profile system features a complete range of ankle fracture plates and provides an innovative fracture solution through its low-profile, anatomic plate designs and Ortholoc 3Di polyaxial locking screw technology.
Finally, the Mica minimally invasive foot and ankle system features specifically designed implants and instrumentation to provide a minimally disruptive, procedurally integrated solution for percutaneous surgery of the foot, according to the release. The system provides less pain, shorter operative times and improved cosmesis, and can be used to treat multiple pathologies, including hallux valgus.
“We have continued to expand our best-in-class foot and ankle product portfolio to meet the needs of orthopedic physicians and patients and further extend our leadership position in the fast-growing lower extremities and biologics markets,” Robert Palmisano, president and chief executive officer of Wright Medical, said in the release. “The launch of our unique Invision total ankle revision system will expand our leadership in total ankle technology and highlights our ability to address the total ankle replacement continuum of care. In addition, the Ortholoc 3Di ankle fracture low-profile system and Mica minimally invasive foot and ankle system further enhances our offering in the foot and ankle market space and allows for an improved surgical experience.”
