Boston Children’s Hospital recognized as top pediatric orthopedic hospital in US News & World Report

Boston Children’s Hospital has been ranked by U.S. News & World Report as the top-ranked hospital in the United States for pediatric orthopedics for the 2017-2018 year.
Other centers named to the top five for orthopedic care this year are Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Rady Children's Hospital, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Children’s Medical Center Dallas -Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
“It is a great honor for our pediatric orthopedic team of surgeons, clinicians, researchers and administrative staff to be recognized for their dedicated service to children needing musculoskeletal care,” Peter M. U.S. News & World Report publishes rankings on the following 10 pediatric specialties: orthopedics; neurology and neurosurgery; cancer; cardiology and heart surgery; diabetes and endocrinology; gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery; neonatology; nephrology; pulmonology; and urology. Data used to determine the rankings included clinical data from 187 pediatric centers and the opinions of approximately 11,000 surveyed pediatric specialists and subspecialists, according to a press release from the publication. Of the 113 hospitals evaluated for the 2017-2018 rankings, 87 hospitals were ranked among the top 50 in one or more specialties. – by Monica Jaramillo
