DENVER — At the Arthroscopy Association of North America Annual Meeting, Alan S. Curtis, MD, discussed how he treats a stiff shoulder due to idiopathic causes or postoperative adhesive capsulitis. He said surgeons need to keep trauma to soft tissues minimal during the original surgery, do a good job repairing the rotator cuff and be good about passive, early range of motion to prevent postoperative adhesions.
