SAN DIEGO —  David Fisher, MD, and Prof. David Parkin, spoke about the early results and economic value proposition of the ATTUNE knee system (DePuy Synthes Joint Reconstruction) used for total knee arthroplasty (TKA). They said results have shown patient-reported outcomes have improved. Five papers included in their study demonstrated the knee system improved patellofemoral function. Fisher and Parker noted the system has improved the cost-effectiveness of surgery with reductions in length of stay and the need for patients to go to skilled nursing facilities for rehabilitation.
