Bioventus appoints new chief commercial officer

Bioventus announced it has appointed John Nosenzo as chief commercial officer, according to a recent release.

Nosenzo will reportedly oversee global sales, distributor management functions for Bioventus, and global marketing for the Active Healing business. In addition, he will be responsible for key customer interface functions to expand market access for the company’s products and to provide reimbursement services for the Exogen ultrasound bone healing system.

“John is a natural charismatic leader who develops top talent, builds strong teams, and consistently delivers exceptional sales results,” Tony Bihl, chief executive officer of Bioventus, said in the release. “We are pleased he is joining us to lead our commercial organization and look forward to the impact he will make with our customers and our commercial team and processes, to fully capture the global market potential for Bioventus’ expanding product portfolio.”

According to the release, Nosenzo has more than 25 years of experience in progressive sales and marketing leadership in pharmaceuticals and medical diagnostic markets. According to the release, he was senior vice president, global customer operations at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics. Prior to that position, he was at Siemens Healthcare as senior vice president, customer relations management. He also previously served as vice president of marketing and sales at Quest Diagnostics.
