EFORT Fora sessions can enhance European national congresses

The outreach of EFORT has been substantially complemented by a series of EFORT Fora that were organized and held during the national congresses last year. These European Fora sessions feature specific topics that are unrelated, but are all dedicated to the topics highlighted at each national congress.
In 2016, EFORT organized 11 European Fora under the supervision of Fora Chairman George Macheras, MD. To organize a Fora session, a national society selects a topic and proposes a 1.5-hour to 2-hour session that involves either four speakers or six speakers, respectively, and is held during its yearly congress.
Half of the speakers should be from the national society and the other speakers, who are from other European countries, are appointed by EFORT. All the lectures are given in English.
In recent years, the scientific level of the EFORT Fora has been high, which has provided an excellent exchange between the national societies and EFORT. Accordingly, the interest in such Fora has also grown significantly.

24 September 2016 – Polytrauma
EFORT Forum at Medfort Conference of COAST, in Larnaca, Cyprus.
29 September 2016 – Open fractures: Update in 2016
