BOSTON — At the North American Spine Society Annual Meeting, Gregory D. Schroeder, MD, discussed a study that looked at the effect of riluzole on bone formation. While he said more research needs to be done regarding its impact on osteoblasts and mesenchymal stem cells, he noted the drug is promising and may lead to a decrease in secondary injuries.
