EFORT and the EFORT Foundation aim to support young and active orthopaedic surgeons by enhancing their professional skills through continuous education. EFORT and the EFORT Foundation also provide young orthopaedic surgeons with experience in the latest surgical interventions and approaches, as well as the newest techniques for practical orthopaedics, which include trauma, orthopaedic/trauma science and pathophysiology.
EFORT Foundation visiting fellowships allow young orthopaedic surgeons to spend a certain amount of time in a pre-defined hospital. The length of time varies according to the fellowship. Visiting fellowships are provided on a yearly basis and the age of an applicant is restricted to 45 years. Short-, medium-, and long-term visiting fellowships in the field of lower limb reconstruction are currently available within Europe, the United States and Canada.

Visiting fellowships are available in the field of total hip replacement (THR) and total knee replacement (TKR) with particular focus on the anterior approach for THR and patient-matched technology for TKR.

Visiting fellowships are available for surgeons who want to advance their expertise in hip reconstruction.
The call for applications will be open in January 2017.
Visiting fellowships with a focus on hip and knee replacement surgery are available for international candidates.
