Episurf Medical announced the public release of its Episealer surgical training simulation on the Touch Surgery app.

The simulation, now available to Touch Surgery users, works with the Episealer platform, a patient-specific approach that addresses joint pain problems and knee lesions. According to a company press release, the training platform also allows users to experience and practice the condyle solo, trochlea solo and femoral twin approaches.

“We are honored to have partnered with Episurf to create a simulation for one of the most innovative procedures in knee orthopedics, available to anyone, anywhere in the world,” Jean Nehme MD, cofounder at Touch Surgery, said in the release.

“It has been a fruitful partnership and we are delighted with the outcome,” Rosemary Cunningham Thomas, chief executive officer of Episurf Medical, said. “Most importantly, the Touch Surgery platform will give us access to a global community of orthopedic surgeons previously unavailable to us.”
