NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — During a mini-symposium at the Orthopaedic Trauma Association Annual Meeting titled, “Syndesmosis injuries: How times have changed,” Lisa K. Cannada, MD, gave an overview of the various treatment options she and her colleagues recommend for syndesmosis ankle injuries. Topics discussed included closed reduction of the syndesmosis injury, adequate intraoperative imaging and use of screw fixation and other alternatives to reduce trauma.
