DISC Sports and Spine Center adds to its spine surgery team
DISC Sports and Spine Center announced it has added Grant D. Shifflett, MD, to its surgical team.
According to a press release, Shifflett recently finished his spine fellowship at Rush University in Chicago. Prior to that, he completed a traveling fellowship in Japan. There, he studied reconstructive spine and cervical procedures. Shifflett has published literature regarding minimally invasive and reconstructive spine surgery and has presented his research in the United States and six other countries.

“I chose DISC for the same reasons I elected to do my fellowship at Rush University Medical Center,” Shifflett, said in the release. “Both are known and respected for pioneering microsurgical spine techniques, and I knew that by joining the team at DISC, I would be working alongside some of the most talented physicians in the country within a uniquely patient-centric, innovative environment.”
