Resurgens Orthopaedics spine physicians given awards for medical performance

For their medical performance, 13 physicians from Resurgens Orthopaedics were recently honored locally and nationally.
Among them were nonoperative spine specialist Roderica E. Cottrell, MD; reconstructive spinal surgeon Tapan K. Daftari, MD; Robert T. Greenfield, MD, who focuses on adult spinal reconstruction and rehabilitation, among other areas, and Scott A. Kelly, MD, whose expertise includes physical medicine and rehabilitation and spinal injections.
According to a press release, the doctors were mentioned in the 2016 list of Top Doctors in Atlanta magazine’s July issue, which reportedly uses a database of top doctors put together by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., to compile its list.
“It is extremely gratifying to be recognized by our medical peers as a practice that provides its patients with an exceptional level of care,” Douglas W. Lundy, MD, Resurgens Orthopaedics co-president, said in the release. “Our physicians — both those honored as Top Doctors and those who are not —consistently demonstrate their commitment to excellence through their outstanding individualized patient care.”
