AJRR launches 2016 reporting for its Orthopaedic Quality Resource Center

The American Joint Replacement Registry is offering an improved web portal which will allow eligible professionals and institutions to participate in the Physician Quality Reporting System and Meaningful Use programs, according to a press release.
The American Joint Replacement Registry (AJRR) provides solutions for various quality needs in the 2016 calendar year through their collaboration with CECity, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) and the American Orthopaedic Association (AOA).
“Our web portal is not static,” Daniel J. Berry, MD, chair of the AJRR board of directors, said in the release. “Our collaboration with AOA and AAHKS this year adds extra measures, bringing out total to 38 [Physician Quality Reporting System] PQRS and custom measures. We are excited to provide a more comprehensive platform that appeals to the specific needs of our participating surgeons.”
According to the release, the AOA’s Own the Bone program will provide the platform with two additional PQRS post-fracture measures. The AAHKS partnership will reportedly provide an additional four custom measures that document process and outcomes for patients who undergo hip arthroplasty.
The national registry provides assistance with the PQRS and Meaningful Use requirements through the AJRR Orthopaedic Quality Resource Center, which was made possible by a partnership with CECity. The resource center offers eligible professionals a way to report on their Medicare patients to CMS, according to the release.
