In this video from Open Operating Theatre, Yann Philippe Charles, MD, of University Hospital Strasbourg, France, performs a French door laminoplasty to treat cervical spondylotic myelopathy and for enlargement of the spinal canal. It is one of two videos that features surgeons at leading European spine centers discussing standard procedures for the treatment of spondylotic myelopathy.

Charles addresses key concepts that surgeons must be aware of when they start the procedure. The video is also a teaching tool surgeons can view to prepare for surgery or use as refresher on the surgical technique and the indications for the French door laminoplasty.
