K2M recently announced the launch of the Mesa Small Stature Spinal System in the Australian, New Zealand and European spine markets.

According to a company press release, the Mesa Small Stature is the company’s first posterior spinal fixation product available for small stature patients. The 4.5-mm pedicle screw system reportedly provides surgeons with the lowest profile alternative for treating these patients. When coupled with K2M’s Zero-Torque Technology, the device is designed to address the most difficult correction maneuvers.

“The introduction of Mesa Small Stature in the European, Australian and New Zealand markets signals the success of our international strategy and commitment to expanding our global presence,” Eric Major, president and chief executive officer of K2M, stated in the release. “Providing innovative technologies to meet patient needs continues to be a top priority for K2M and this international growth reinforces our goal to offer the best solutions for the most complex spinal pathologies around the world.”
