EFORT Awards in London 2014
A congress is always as good as its presentations. In this regard the EFORT congress can ever rely on experts all over Europe.
During the 15th EFORT Congress in London from 4 to 6 June 2014, the following awards were given out:
The three best free papers were Claus Varnum, Denmark (gold), Walter Van der Wegen, Netherlands (silver), and Barry Andrews, United Kingdom (bronze).
The Jaques Duparc Award for the ten best free posters were presented to:

This year’s Allied Professions Award went to Hannah Pugh, United Kingdom. The EFORT Tribology Award went to Natalie Hope, United Kingdom

During the official Opening Session of the Congress, the Industry Awards were presented to Zimmer for their loyal support to the EFORT Educational Programs and to Medacta for their loyal support to the EFORT FOUNDATION Fellowship Programs.
For the first time this year, EFORT also awarded the best trauma paper which was submitted by David J. Hak, MD, MBA, from the United States, as well as the EBOT award which was given to the candidate with the highest score of the oral examination in Barcelona last year, Sarmad Kazzaz, United Kingdom.
The EBOT Award is sponsored by UEMS.
