Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush announces new spine tumor center

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush announced the opening of the Midwest Orthopaedics at the Rush Spine Tumor Center in Chicago.

According to a press release from the group, Matthew W. Colman, MD, is leading the effort. He reportedly is the only physician in Chicago to have completed fellowships in both spine surgery and musculoskeletal oncology.

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Spine Tumor Center, a place where patients facing a formidable challenge will receive care of the highest caliber,” Howard An, MD, medical director of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, said in the release. “Dr. Colman goes to great lengths to make certain that his patients are armed with the latest information and treatments. They are in superb, caring hands.”

Colman specializes in the treatment of spinal tumors, including sarcoma, chordoma and metastatic carcinoma, according to the release.
