Timothy B. Mapstone, MD, FAANS, was appointed vice president of AANS. According to a release, he is the vice president of the Society of Neurological Surgeons and was a past member of the AANS board of directors.

The AANS has named John A. Wilson, MD, FAANS, treasurer. “As past president of the AANS, I will continue to serve both our specialty, as well as the public interests. Our executive committee and board of directors will remain focused on ensuring that health policy enables the public to receive the highest quality of neurosurgical care,” Batjer said in a press release.
