ulrich medical USA Inc. announced the market release of the uNion cervical plate system, a titanium alloy implant device that reportedly provides mechanical stabilization and anterior fixation for the cervical spine.

According to a company press release, the device is to be used as an adjunct to fusion in the treatment of degenerative disc disease.

“This product represents the union of ulrich medical’s combined strengths — U.S. product development with over a century of German engineering and manufacturing expertise,” Christopher Ulrich, managing partner of ulrich medical, said in the release. “Our team is exceptionally proud of the collaboration between our organizations in the [United States] U.S. and in Europe on the design of this product, and we expect to duplicate this combined development approach with additional new product introductions.”
