ORLANDO, Fla. — At the Spine Summit 2016: CNS/AANS Section on Disorders of the Spine and Peripheral Nerves Annual Meeting, Praveen V. Mummaneni, MD, FAANS, discussed the need for spine surgeons to evolve in the way they think when looking for employment in order to be successful in a hospital employment model.
He said spine surgeons should not only work in the clinics but also need to work in administration and be part of the decision making for budgets and patient care issues.
