According to a release from the U.S. Department of Defense, Zimmer Biomet has been awarded an infinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a maximum of approximately $381 million for various orthopedic products.

Justification 10 U.S. Code 2304 (c) (1) was used toward the sole-source acquisition. The contract will be for 1 year, with four 1-year option periods. The quoted amount is for the life of the contract.

The performance completion date is April 25, 2021. Services that will benefit from this contract are Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies.
