SI-BONE announces expansion of European operations with creation of SI-BONE UK

SI-BONE Inc. recently announced the expansion of its European operations with the formation of SI-BONE UK Ltd.

In addition to the new European headquarters, SI-BONE announced two new management team members. Richard Moss joins the European management team as General Manager United Kingdom (U.K.) & Ireland, and Silvio Tarantino has been appointed finance director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), according to the company press release.

“We are extremely excited to have both Richard and Silvio join our EMEA team, and I look forward to working with both of them to further expand our presence in the U.K. and strengthen our overall business across Europe and the Middle East,” Andrea Mercanti, vice president of EMEA at SI-BONE, said in the release.

SI-Bone UK will be headquartered in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, United Kingdom. This will be the third European office, in addition to the existing EMEA headquarters in Gallarate, Italy, and a second office in Mannheim, Germany, that the company opened last year.

Moss brings more than 20 years of medical device sales experience from both multinational and start-up companies, including ArthroCare, TranS1 and most recently, Aurora Spine.

Tarantino will manage all financial and business operations for EMEA, and will be located at the European headquarters in Gallarate, Italy. From 2002 to 2008, he served as an integration support consultant for Recall srl where he was responsible for the integration of four previously acquired companies and was subsequently named general manager of the Italian company.
