DISC Sports and Spine Center announces new hire

DISC Sports & Spine Center recently announced the appointment of Rojeh Melikian, MD, to its staff of spine surgeons.
Melikian, an orthopedic spine surgeon, has training in reconstructive orthopedic spine surgery with a focus on minimally invasive techniques, according to a press release issued by the center.
“Rojeh is a welcome addition to the DISC family,” Sanjay K. Khurana, MD, who recruited Melikian to the DISC office, said in the release. “He brings world-class credentials and training to our group, so we can continue our tradition of excellence in spine care.”
According to the release, Melikian has authored numerous presentations, posters and journal articles on spine surgery with special focuses on lumbar and cervical degenerative spine surgery, as well as lateral-access and anterior surgery. He also specializes in minimally invasive surgery, spine trauma and spinal tumors.
“What really drew me to DISC was the ability to provide comprehensive, quality spine care in one location. If you surround yourself with the best people in your field, it can only elevate your game,” Melikian said in the release.
