Pinnacle Spine Group LLC recently announced that it has received a third U.S. patient relating to the company’s InFill fusion technology. According to a company press release, the new patent is aimed at “systems that promote enhanced spinal fusion irrespective of implant type or approach.”

The patent, titled “Intervertebral Implants and Related Tools,” reportedly strengthens coverage provided by Pinnacle’s previous patents relating to InFill Fusion technology. 

“The new patent significantly broadens our overall intellectual property portfolio and, from a commercial standpoint, meaningfully strengthens our patent position in the area of spinal fusion,” Zach Sowell, president of Pinnacle Spine, in the press release.
