Stryker recently announced the grand opening of its European Regional Headquarters in Amsterdam.

“The opening of the European Regional Headquarters is an exciting milestone for Stryker that demonstrates our long-term commitment to Europe and our global business,” Lonny Carpenter, Stryker’s group president for global quality and operations, and European business operations, said in a company release. “Stryker is committed to continuously improving our business in this region, so we have established the new headquarters to support these aspirations.”

The new headquarters, an approximately 59,000-square-foot facility, will be the base of operations for company employees with pan-European duties. The facility is located in Amsterdam’s southeast business district and offers a training center that can accommodate lectures.

The company touts the new headquarters as enabling it to better streamline its efforts in the region, as well as strengthen its ability to grow the business on a global scale.

Among the attendees at the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Timothy Broas, United States Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and Jeroen Nijland, Commissioner for Foreign Investment, Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency.

“We are delighted to have one of the world’s leading medical technology companies expand its operations in the Netherlands,” Nijland said in the release. “We regard [Stryker’s] decision to open the regional headquarters here as confirmation of the attractiveness of the Dutch business climate.”
