Lima Corporate recently announced the launch of the Physica system, the company’s new total knee arthroplasty offering.

Available in a variety of sizes and options, the system comprises three components: the Physica KR, PS and CR implants. The KR implant is designed to preserve natural knee kinematics, whereas the PS implant is designed to better enable load transmission through the tibial post, and the CR is designed to conserve bone and allow more anatomic patellar tracking, according to a company release.

The Physica system will be available as of April 15, 2015.

“This is an important milestone for our company,” Luigi Ferrara, CEO of Lima Corporate, said in the release. “Being able to release a new total knee replacement, developed in collaboration with key European surgeons, demonstrates our commitment to the knee segment and the advancement of Lima in this arena.”
