Medtronic recently announced the launch of the CD Horizon Solera Voyager Spinal System for minimally invasive spine procedures.

The new system expands on the transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion procedure by offering multiple, minimally invasive rod insertion options and enabling a 3-D-navigated surgical experience, according to a company press release.

Featuring a low-profile, extended-tab screw with inner threading to ease rod insertion and facilitate rod reduction, the system is designed to enable surgeons to use a percutaneous or Wiltse minimally invasive approach for rod insertion. It is also part of Medtronic’s Surgery Synergy Platform, according to the release.
