Aurora Spine Corporation recently announced the launch of another new product in its line of next-generation, minimally invasive surgery lumbar interbody cages.

The Vox, Aurora Spine’s newest minimally invasive lateral lumbar interbody fusion (LLIF) system, features TiNano titanium spray coating technology. The coated polyetheretherketone (PEEK) cages are designed to allow for the possibility of bone ongrowth due to its porous structure, according to a company press release.

Together with the Zip Ultra minimally invasive surgery fixation implant, the Vox TiNano-coated cage comprises Aurora Spine’s screwless procedure, according to the release.

The first surgery using the new TiNano-coated lateral interbody cage was performed by Daniel Williams, MD, at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, N.C., the release stated.
