DJO Global has announced that its subsidiary, Encore Medical, L.P., which does business as DJO Surgical, has closed on the previously announced acquisition of assets from Zimmer Biomet Holdings.

The acquisition includes Biomet Cobalt bone cement, Optivac cement mixing accessories, the SoftPac Pouch and the Discovery elbow system for the U.S. marketplace, according to a company press release.

According to the release, the new product acquisitions expand DJO Global’s product portfolio significantly as the company continues to add new and novel technologies and fresh talent to fuel an already fast-growing business.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
