LAS VEGAS — Stryker Corporation’s Spine Division announced the launch of the Tempus, a new anterior cervical plating system, at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting, here.
The new product features a secondary locking mechanism that offers visual and tactile confirmation. Large graft windows and a low, 2.2-mm profile design also complement the current anterior cervical plating systems offered by Stryker, according to a company press release.
One- to five-level plating options are available with the product, which also features fixed and variable self-drilling and self-tapping screws.
“The addition of Tempus will expand Stryker’s presence in the growing secondary lock subsegment of the $454 million anterior cervical plating market and further strengthen our cervical product portfolio,” Brad Paddock, vice president and general manager of sales and marketing for Stryker Spine, said in the release.
