LAS VEGAS — DJO Global announced the launch of the Exprt Precision System for total knee revision arthroplasty at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting.

The Exprt system provides advanced technology to experienced revision surgeons, leading to greater value and efficiency in the operating suite, according to a company press release.

At 40% to 70% of the cost of comparable knee revision systems, the streamlined, compact design reduces turn times, minimizes waste and has proven implant design technology. The Exprt System is also designed to replace the traditional eight-tray system with a two-tray system, reducing prep time and eliminating unnecessary surgical steps, the release stated.

“The Exprt System offers experienced revision surgeons a toolkit that matches their skill set,” Mike Mogul, CEO at DJO Global, said in the release. “The makeup of this revision knee allows for streamlined simplicity at a dramatically lower cost.”
