Exactech launches new PEEK spacer system
Exactech recently announced its spine division has launched Octane Elevate, a polyetheretherketone spacer system for use in lumbar interbody fusion procedures.
The device is designed to restore disc height while also addressing a number of anatomical conditions and degrees of degeneration, according to a company press release.
Octane Elevate is intended to be implanted with less force, potentially reducing the incidence of vertebrae and nerve damage, according to the release. Additionally, surgeons can backfill the interbody spacer with autogenous bone graft, which is designed to aid in fusion.
The product has multiple footprint options and has heights available in 1-mm increments.
