BME recently announced the domestic launch of the HammerLock 2, the company’s new intramedullary fixation system.

Featuring Nitinol technology, the HammerLock 2 provides surgeons an intramedullary implant for hammertoe fixation that does not require freezing, according to a company press release.

The system comes in presterilized and completely disposable implant and instrument kits and is designed to fit a wide range of anatomies.

Patent is pending for the HammerLock 2 implant and system, which is currently available for commercial use throughout the U.S., according to the release.
