Paragon 28 launches new foot plating system

Paragon 28 recently announced the launch of its new foot plating system, the Gorilla R3CON.

The system, which replaces the Normed product line previously distributed by the company, comprises 10 interchangeable subsystems, offering new approaches for metatarsophalangeal fusions, Lisfranc stabilization and Lapidus procedures. There are also non–site-specific plates offered for other types of procedures, according to a company press release.

Gorilla R3CON screws are available in diameters of 2.7 mm, 3.5 mm and 4.2 mm, and are designed to perform screw tip purchase in cortical bone, shank purchase in cancellous bone and provide increased strength in the neck region.

The metatarsophalangeal and Lapidus plates can be used with Precision Guide, a device that attaches directly to the plate and provides multiple trajectories for a cross screw without interfering with any of the plate’s locking screws, according to the release.
