MedCom Advisors announced recently that it has signed an agreement with OsteoMed to co-market the PrimaLOK SP Interspinous Fusion System and to develop the MI-Port Fusion Procedure.

Under the agreement, MedCom will provide training and protocol development for the use of the PrimaLOK SP in minimally invasive fusion procedures, according to a company press release.

“The collaboration of MedCom and OsteoMed has already led to the development of the MI-Port Fusion Procedure for minimally invasive lumbar interbody fusion,” Gordon McDonald, managing physician for MedCom, said in the release. “This spine procedure can be performed efficiently and reproducibly with a very short learning curve compared with other [minimally invasive surgery] techniques.”
