Wright Medical recently announced the launch of its INFINITY Total Ankle Replacement System.

The INFINITY system combines a low-profile implant design with seamless integration with PROPHECY Pre-Operative Navigation Alignment Guides, according to a company press release. The system features a talar resurfacing option for talar bone preservation, as well as a tibia design that is compatible with the company’s existing INBONE II System.

INFINITY is available commercially within the U.S. and will also be available on a limited basis in select countries throughout the world.

“We believe INFINITY’s lower-profile design and straightforward surgical approach expands our access to less-complicated primary cases and will be an important catalyst in the ongoing market conversion from fusion procedures to total ankle replacement,” Robert Palmisano, president and CEO of Wright Medical, said in the press release.
