Expanding Orthopedics to present details of FLXfit expandable cage

Expanding Orthopedics Inc. announced the FLXfit, TLIF 3D expandable cage will be presented for the first time at this week’s International Society for the Advancement of Spine Surgery Meeting in Miami.

Jean Charles Le Huec, MD, PhD, of Bordeaux, France, was scheduled to present the details of the FLXfit cage at the meeting, according to a company press release.

The new cage allows for a minimally invasive, unilateral transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion or TLIF approach, has an articulated self-guidance feature and the lordotic expansion capability facilitates lordosis correction at the treated level, according to the release.

“We are honored to have this close collaboration with a top notch group of renowned surgeons enabling our continuous release of unique minimal invasive expandable devices to the market," Ofer Bokobza, CEO of Expanding Orthopedics, stated in the press release.

The FLXfit will soon be available internationally and will create a significant impact in the way fusion surgeries are performed, according to Bokobza. “The release of this product will strengthen EOI’s unique product portfolio and would be a great addition to the XPED Expandable Pedicle Screw System,” he stated.
