Hamstring tears can result in lost time at play for athletes. An article in the March issue of Orthopaedics Today Europe discussed results of surgical repair of bilateral proximal hamstring injuries that proved effective for pain relief and returned half of the patients to their pre-injury activity level. Patients with partial avulsions had higher outcomes scores, the investigators reported. Read more
