Wenzel Spine Inc. has been a patent for its Zero-Profile VariLift Stand-Alone Expandable Interbody Fusion System.

Commercially available in the United States and Europe, the VariLift family of devices has zero-profile interbody designs, which allow for stand-alone use of the VariLift system for lumbar and cervical fusion procedures.

“We have numerous additional patent applications under review and will continue to work to expand the Wenzel Spine patent portfolio as we continue to innovate and develop new products,” Chad Neely, chief executive officer of Wenzel Spine, stated in a company press release. “The grant of this patent confirms the uniqueness of the VariLift family of devices and further strengthens our growing domestic and international patent portfolio.”
