Department of Defense awards contract to Stryker for hip, knee implant packages

The Department of Defense awarded a maximum $85,469,865 contract for orthopedic hip and knee procedural packages, including hip and knee implants, instrumentation sets and auxiliary products, to Stryker Orthopaedics Corporation.
According to a company press release, the contract is a fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract used by the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps. The contract represents an agreement on set pricing that will allow the military to access needed products and services, and is not awarded as a guaranteed purchase amount. The contract also represents Stryker’s ongoing commitment to their military customers and patients, and aligns with their charitable support of organizations like Fisher House, Marine Moms and the Society of Military Orthopaedic Surgeons.
