Remedy Informatics launches new outcomes registry
Remedy Informatics Inc. announced the launch of RemedyJoint, a total joint replacement outcomes registry.
According to a company press release, RemedyJoint is built on Remedy Informatics’ Mosaic Platform and designed to meet the needs of orthopedic surgeon groups, hospital orthopedic departments and implant manufacturers conducting post-marketing trials. The registry tracks and gathers patient demographics, medical history, procedure, complication and patient-reported outcome measures across multiple surgeons, surgeon groups and hospitals. The data is analyzed through pattern recognition tools to optimize patient outcomes and reduce the cost of care.
RemedyJoint can help surgeons and hospitals track patient-reported outcome measures, implant survivorship, create custom forms and data elements for institutions, support performance-based reimbursement negotiations, enable multisite collaboration and clinical trials and deliver outcomes to the American Joint Replacement Registry.
“We believe a local total joint replacement registry for hospitals and surgeon groups is the best research and clinical informatics solution to drive comparative effectiveness research, organization quality initiatives and support outcomes reporting to state and national registries,” Gary Kennedy, founder and chief executive officer of Remedy Informatics, stated in the release.
