Sectra signs agreement with Zimmer for online preoperative planning systems
Sectra announced in a press release that it has signed a non-exclusive agreement with Zimmer GmbH to provide Sectra’s online 2-D preoperative planning systems to select European markets.
The online system, called Sectra Preop Online, is designed to increase the accuracy of preoperative planning by allowing surgeons to digitally plan joint reconstruction or trauma surgeries. With Sectra Preop Online, surgeons can select different implant sizes and alignments, create a digital workflow and plan for different scenarios, according to a company press release.
“Through cooperation with partners with an extensive network and high market presence, Sectra anticipates expanding its orthopedic business further,” Hanna Eriksson, general manager of Sectra’s orthopedic operations, stated in the release.
