Suspension Orthopaedic Solutions received a patent for its proprietary clavicle plate design, according to a company press release.

Designed to work with the Suspension AC repair kit, the plate provides surgeons with an alternative to traditional plating, particularly for difficult-to-treat distal clavicle fractures. The repair kit and plating system help surgeons secure fractures of the distal portion of the clavicle by providing the benefits of clavicle plating with flexible, anatomic fixation.

“This patent issuance is an important step in strengthening our intellectual property position for our growing product platform,” Robert S. Collins, chief executive officer of Suspension, stated in the release. “It strengthens our efforts in advancing our next generation of innovative and intuitive products to the trauma and sports medicine markets.”
