Spinal Elements Inc. has announced the launch of its Ti-Bond product, a plasma-sprayed porous titanium coating used with the firm’s Lucent PEEK spine interbody implants.

According to a company press release, the Lucent Ti-Bond coating consists of random, unconnected titanium pores, which are biomechanically adhered to the superior and inferior surfaces of Spinal Elements PEEK-OPTIMA interbody implants through a plasma vacuum spray process designed to enhance bone healing during fusion.

“With the launch of our new Ti-Bond product, the spinal device market is taking a great step forward. This launch is one of an extensive line-up of product introductions we will be executing over the next 12 months,” Jason Blain, president and co-founder of Spinal Elements, stated in the release.
