Tornier has appointed Shawn T. McCormick as the company’s new chief financial officer, succeeding Carmen L. Diersen, effective Sept. 4.

According to a company press release, McCormick has 20 years of experience in the medical device industry. He has served as vice president of corporate development for Medtronic Inc., senior vice president and chief financial officer for ev3 Inc. and chief operating officer for Lutonix Inc.

“I am very pleased to welcome Shawn to our company and confident that his extensive financial expertise and knowledge of the health care industry will enable him to successfully lead our financial operations,” Doug Kohrs, president and chief executive officer of Tornier, stated in the release.
