Pioneer Surgical Technology, Inc. announced the successful human implantation of nonOss Bioactive in a European patient.

The nanOss Bioactive bone graft promotes bone growth in the posterolaterla spine by utilizing proprietary nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite as well as a collagen-based biopolymer, according to a company release.

“Once again we are pleased to announce further geographic expansion of our flagship product nanOss Bioactive,” Shane Ray, executive vice president biologics for Pioneer, stated in the release. “International expansion of our Biologics products is a strategic actvity for Pioneer Surgical and complements the Pioneer spine products that are already available outside the United States.”
