ulrich medical USA Inc. has announced release of the company’s Omni VBR Implant System, a titanium vertebral body replacement device intended to replace a collapsed, damaged or unstable vertebral body in the thoracic and lumbar spine from T1 to L5 due to trauma or tumor.

"We are very pleased to introduce our fifth expandable corpectomy cage to the U.S. market with the introduction of the Omni VBR implant,” Tom Carter, Senior Marketing Manager of ulrich medical USA,” stated in a company press release. “Expandable VBR technology is our core competency and we will continue to support, develop and defend our market leadership position in this sector of the complex spine market moving forward.”

The Omni VBR, according to the release, features a large central lumen that allows for maximum bone grafting while maintaining expandability. The product has a variety of endplate angulation options, is sterile-packed and available in diameters of 9 mm, 22 mm, 26 mm and 30 mm with expansion ranges between 10 mm and 131 mm, according to the release.
